Hi, thought I would post this information, since a while back I was surveying what cheap standard PHD would work well with my beloved BX2200, since issues have been around not getting enough lift. Well, I just purched a Field Master model 100 (21-00220) from TSC with 9 inch auger and hooked it up very easily and the lift is great! no problem, because the PT100 has 4 lift holes and the one closest to the BX produces at least 10 inches (maybe 12) off level ground ! The 3 pth fits well also - this is a well built inexpensive PHD. Scott Hinkelman, Austin TX

Is the ground you're using this PHD in the typical limestone laden soil of the Texas hill country? Any roots to contend with? ....

Yes. Hill Country immature Limestone for the most part. The bit is for rock, as sold typically around this area, vs a soft dirt bit. Tractor has the horses - sometmes however without hydralic down pressure is has minimal effect - but sometimes she breaks through......not big roots. Also using turf tires. S. ....
